Ben Igweh, the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has shed light on the recent arrests of individuals known as Baban Bolas. He explained that these arrests were prompted by numerous complaints from residents about thefts involving household items.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Igweh said Baban Bolas are often found stealing items such as air conditioners, generators, antennas, and DSTV equipment. He said they usually pack the stolen items into bags or wheelbarrows and conceal them with other objects to avoid detection. He revealed that significant amounts of stolen property have been recovered from Baban Bolas and the sight of these items would bring anyone to tears.
In Igweh’s words: “If you see what we have recovered from Baban Bolas you will weep. And when they are transporting those things that they stole, they will ship it down and then use other things to cover it”……….See More
