Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, has explained that his decision to not own houses abroad is a deliberate choice to concentrate on industrializing Nigeria.
He believes that having residences in London or the United States would divert his attention away from his primary objective of making Nigeria a beacon of industrialization.
Dangote emphasized that his properties in Nigeria, including those in Lagos and Kano, serve as tangible evidence of his unwavering commitment to the Nigerian dream.
During a media briefing at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos, Dangote reiterated his dedication to Nigeria’s development, stating that his focus on industrialization is unwavering.
His daughter, Fatima Dangote, who is also the Group Executive Director of Commercial Operations, praised her father’s unrelenting work ethic and steadfastness in pursuing the Nigerian dream.
She expressed her admiration for his tireless efforts, saying, “I have not seen anyone as hardworking as my father. Sometimes I wonder how he never gives up.”
She added, “I wish we had a few more men like my father in Nigeria. The country would be a better place.”….Seē _ Morē
