On 10th June, 2024 the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ordered the Kano State Government and the Nigeria Police Force to pay a sum of twenty-five million naira to the member of the House of Representatives representative Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency from Kano State, Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa for wrongly accusing him of murdering three members of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) during the just concluded General Election.
According to the Daily Post, Justice D.U. Okorowo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja while delivering judgment over a file suit by the member of the House of Representatives representative Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency from Kano State, Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa against the Attorney-General of the Federation, Inspector-General of Police, Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Attorney-General of Kano State, had ordered the Kano State Government and the Police to pay a sum of twenty-five million naira for wrongly accusing Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa for wrongly accusing of murdering three members of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) during just concluded General Election.
It was learned that some months ago the member of the House of Representatives representative Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency from Kano State, Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa filed a suit against the Attorney-General of the Federation, Inspector-General of Police, Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Attorney-General of Kano State over the alleged infringement of his rights to dignity, liberty, and freedom of movement.…….See More
