Senator Ndume the Chief Whip of the Senate pointed out a clear disparity in the accessibility of the current president as opposed to his past engagements.
Ndume noted that President Tinubu had a reputation for welcoming visitors at all hours in Lagos, including late nights, showcasing an open-door stance.
However, he observed a marked change in accessibility levels with the current president at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where visitor permissions are limited, creating an environment that feels desolate.
In an interview with AriseTv, Ndume said, “If you knew the president before now, you would know that the whole scenario has changed. This is somebody who, when he was in Lagos, if you went to Bourdillon anytime, any day, even at 2 a.m., you would find President Tinubu receiving people in and out. If you came to where he stayed in Abuja, the Lagos House, you would know from when you took a turn whether he was around or not at any time of the day. There were times you would go there at 3 in the night and you would meet him. But now, if you go to the Presidential Villa, the front of the Presidential Villa is like a graveyard because they don’t allow anybody to see Mr. President.”….Sèé _ Moré
