The organisation Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism, CMAA, has condemned the Hamas terror group and the October 7th onslaught. The group made the statement in post on its verified X handle @AgainstAntisem, a full page ad addressed in the Canadian National Post newspaper supposedly to enforce their support for the Jewish community and the peace loving people of the world. Saying, terrorist organisations like Hamas, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and other terrorist alliances promoting antisemitism ideology can not speak for Islam and Muslims.
CMAA is a charitable foundation comprised of Muslims professionals, thinkers, and activists committed to speaking out against antisemitism in its entirety. The full-page ad continued to accuse Hamas for its actions in the October 7th massacre in the name of Islam. It is quite surprising for Hamas to be using the holy book of Islam and its verses to perpetrate illegality and crimes.
Furthermore, the statement said that the organization mourns the death of Gazan civilians, meanwhile, it emphatically places the blame on Hamas, the IRGC, the Iranian regime, and all those who fund, justify, and glorify them. This was witnessed during the massacre of Israelis holding festive commemoration in the southern part of Israel on October 7th, the group noted.
The organisation further urged all Muslims to promote an all-time good ambassador for preaching of Islam and to reject weaponization of faith, which is constantly portrayed in the Hamas and its backers activities.
