Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has congratulated the King of Apara Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, on his recent appointment as the chairman of the council.
In a video posted by Sahara TV on their YouTube channel, Governor Fubara made it known that he wouldn’t be astonished if legal actions were initiated against the new chairman following the announcement.
Speaking during the congratulatory event, he remarked on the likelihood of the rival government challenging Eze Chike’s appointment in court.
This anticipation of legal disputes stems from ongoing the state political landscape.
Despite these potential challenges, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his unwavering support for Eze Chike Worlu Wodo.
He emphasised the importance of the chairman’s role and the expectations placed on him.
Governor Fubara expressed confidence in Eze Chike’s ability to lead effectively and navigate any legal obstacles that may arise.
He underscored the necessity for Eze Chike to remain composed and focused on his responsibilities.
Governor Fubara also urged the newly appointed chairman to carry out his duties in strict accordance with the law.
He highlighted the importance of legality and adherence to state regulations as Eze Chike embarks on his leadership role.
Fubara said, “I won’t be surprised if I leave here and I hear that they have taken you to court or they have gone to seal the council. You know we have two governments now: the Rivers State government and the Abuja government.
“But whatever it is and for what it is, we must take the decision to show that we are the ones in charge.”………See More
