The violence that happened during the End SARS protests has been discussed by Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Channels TV aired a video in which Falana claimed that 99 lives were lost in Lagos in the span of a week. According to him, numerous young people were shot at while protesting in other cities such as Benin, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt.
Falana did point out that the government appears to be beginning to reflect on and correct its previous errors. He goes on to say that the government should keep its people safe and use a more peaceful approach to protests, particularly the youth who are usually the vanguard when it comes to demanding change.
In Falana’s words: “In one week about 99 people were killed in Lagos, I don’t want to talk about Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Benin and other places were young people were shot at and killed. The violence that characterized the end of the End SARS protest was instigated by the government. This time around, I think the government is beginning to learn from the past”….Seē _ Morē
