A sudden death sparked panic on Friday in the Idimu area of Lagos State, specifically in Isheri, when an unidentified woman died while riding a tricycle. The incident occurred while the woman was in transit, causing alarm and shock among witnesses and passersby.
An eyewitness whose name was not mentioned said he was close to the Isheri bus station when the incident happened. He said the tricycle rider was shouting for help. When they got close to the spot, they saw a woman who placed her head in the middle of the barricade of the tricycle.
The eyewitness said that the tricycle rider told her that the woman was supposed to get down at Isheri, which is the last bus stop for tricycle riders, and when they got there, she was expected to step out and pay, only to find out that she was not responding. It was at this moment that the tricycle rider raised altitude, and the place was crowded because it appeared strange.
As reported by The Punch News on Monday, the eyewitness said, “I was close to the Isheri bus stop when I heard the tricycle rider shouting for help. When we moved close to the spot, we saw a woman placing her head in the middle of the barricade of the tricycle, unresponsive. The rider said he was supposed to drop her off at Isheri, which is the last bus stop for tricycle riders in the area, and when they got there, the rider expected her to step out and pay her fare, only to find out that she wasn’t responding. That was when he raised the alarm. The place was crowded as it appeared strange.”
According to reports, the tricycle involved in the incident was impounded and taken to the Idimu police station for further investigation, while the deceased woman’s body was transported to a nearby hospital in the area, whose identity has not been disclosed….Seē _ Morē
