Oladimeji Fabiyi, Deputy National Financial Secretary of the ADC, spoke critically about former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose during an interview. He described Fayose as someone whose comments create unnecessary noise and said he strongly disagreed with his recent statements.
Fabiyi further alleged that Fayose was being used by the All Progressives Congress to promote narratives against the African Democratic Congress. According to him, earlier predictions that the ADC would collapse within months were repeatedly pushed by Fayose and others.
He also pointed to recent opposition cooperation, saying claims that major political figures could not unite had been disproved. Fabiyi cited the coming together of Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as evidence.
In his words, “He (Ayo Fayose) is a noise maker. I repeat, he is a noise maker. I don’t agree with him. He knows he is being used by the APC. These are the kind of narratives they drove in the past. ADC will not survive in three months, it was this Fayose. Give them six months, it was this Fayose. Now, we can never see Obi and Atiku sit down together and Kwankwaso; now they have sat together.
