President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer (DG/CEO) of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr. Mamman Ahmadu, to step down from his position. This directive was conveyed through a statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, on Saturday.
In the statement titled “President Tinubu Directs Reorganisation of the Bureau of Public Procurement,” Ngelale explained that President Tinubu’s decision to ask for Ahmadu’s resignation is part of a broader effort to reorganize the public procurement system. The aim is to enhance efficiency and transparency within the agency.
According to the statement, “President Bola Tinubu has directed the resignation of Mr. Mamman Ahmadu from office as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). This is part of a larger reorganisation effort in the public procurement system to reposition the agency for greater efficiency and transparency.”
