According to CHANNELS TELEVISION, this development follows the first sitting of the pro-Wike faction after several months of political tension and inactivity.
The demand from the Amaewhule-led faction comes amidst a backdrop of intense political rivalry, with a parallel sitting being held by another faction of the House led by Victor Oko-Jumbo.
This faction is loyal to Governor Fubara and has been conducting its own legislative activities independently.
Governor Fubara initially presented the 2024 budget to the House loyal to him, with his current Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, presiding as Speaker at the time.
