Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, a well-known human rights lawyer and former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission, has issued a statement via his official X account in response to the Kaduna State House of Assembly’s review of loans, grants, and project implementations during the tenure of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The findings, unveiled on Wednesday, have implicated El-Rufai for alleged abuse of power, embezzlement, and money laundering, leading to calls for an EFCC probe.
In his statement, Odinkalu commented on the situation.
“My good friend, the #VileLittleMan is finding out about the ephemerality of power. How sad that he does not have any capacity to charge any one with incitement or treason or criminal defamation on this occasion,” Odinkalu wrote.
Odinkalu’s statements highlight the perceived vulnerability of those in power when faced with allegations of corruption and abuse in the aftermath of their tenure.
The Kaduna Assembly’s report has brought a wave of public questions and demands for accountability in governance.
Odinkalu’s response adds to the growing voices calling for transparency and justice.……..See More
