Primate Ayodele: Why They Have To Be More Watchful In Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Adamawa And Yobe

In a recent video posted on Facebook, a Nigerian religious leader and public figure, Primate Elijah Ayodele, expressed new worries regarding what he sees as possible aviation hazards and the delicate nature of regional security in various areas of the nation.

In his recent remarks, Ayodele cautioned that just because there have been periods with fewer aviation incidents, it does not mean we should let our guard down, indicating that unexpected dangers could still arise.

He stated: “You may see 7 or 8 months without a plane crash. Then pay attention to these states.”

The cleric did not offer specific information to support his assertion but called for increased awareness from those involved in the aviation industry and related sectors. His comments come during a time when the public remains highly concerned about air safety and the security of infrastructure in Nigeria.

Ayodele identified a number of states he feels need special observation due to what he referred to as rising risks. He mentioned:

“Seven states are at risk. Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, Adamawa, and Yobe.”

The states he pointed out consist of Sokoto State, Kano State, Kaduna State, Niger State, Katsina State, Adamawa State, and Yobe State, many of which have faced varying levels of insecurity and logistical difficulties in the past.

He further emphasized the need for vigilance in these areas, adding.

“They need to keep an eye on all these locations.”

While Ayodele’s statements have gained attention from his supporters and segments of the public, aviation and security professionals generally advise that such remarks should be taken with caution and not mistaken for confirmed risk assessments unless they are backed by official information or thorough investigations.
