Amir, a 40-year-old artist from Tehran, has voiced his doubts about the upcoming U.S.–Iran negotiations, saying he does not believe the temporary agreement will last beyond a week. He explained that he would rather see the conflict continue if it could bring about the collapse of the current regime.
His statement was contained in a recent report published by VANGUARD on Friday, April 10, 2026.
Amir made the statement while reflecting on the atmosphere in Tehran ahead of the talks.
He stressed that if the regime remains in power, repression will only intensify, leaving citizens more fearful and disillusioned.
According to Amir, the negotiations may extend the ceasefire, but they are unlikely to deliver lasting peace, as many Iranians remain skeptical and uneasy about the future.
Amir stated,
“I Prefer for the war to continue, to result in the downfall of the regime. If this doesn’t happen, oppression will intensify further.”…..See More
