General Abdulrahman Dambazau, former Chief of Army Staff, has stated that when the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was seriously ill in the hospital, some politicians were more concerned about taking over his seat instead of finding ways to help him recover or praying for him
In an interview with NTA, General Dambazau stated that even Goodluck Jonathan who was the acting president at the time was more focused on becoming the substantive president
General Dambazau also said that he later learned that President Musa Yar’Adua actually signed a letter empowering Jonathan to act as president when he was sick
