2. Heath Ledger passed away at the peak of his fame
As the Joker in the 2008 film The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger rose to super-stardom, but he was never able to enjoy his newfound notoriety. The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, the actor’s upcoming project, was in the middle of production when he passed away.
When Heath Ledger tragically passed away at the age of 28, his acting career had only barely begun. His portrayal of the Joker is still remembered today as one of the most recognizable representations of the original Batman nemesis. Ledger received a posthumous Oscar for this performance in 2009.
3. Vic Morrow’s accidental death stopped the production of The Twilight Zone.
Vic Morrow was busy working on The Twilight Zone: The Movie throughout the summer of 1982. He and two young actors were trying to escape a hostile helicopter while filming a scene in the Vietnam War. Unfortunately, the pilot’s ability to fly interfered with the special effects explosions on the ground, which resulted in a horrific crash.
Morrow and the two kids passed tragically as a result of their wounds, and five members of the production team were charged with involuntary manslaughter.
A year later, The Twilight Zone: The Movie was ultimately released, but none of the sequences starring the deceased kids were included.
4. Tragically Young Death of River Phoenix
After starring in the Stand By Me adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, River Phoenix enjoyed a consistent acting career up until 1993. However, the actor’s life abruptly ended while Dark Blood was being filmed.
Phoenix passed away from an overdose in front of a well-known bar when the movie was only 80% complete.
