Emmanuel Ogebe, a US-based Nigerian lawyer, has spoken about Dauda Yakubu, a farmer who survived an attempt by Boko Haram to kill him
In an interview with Channels Television, Ogebe said Yakubu survived a brutal beheading attempt by Boko Haram about 13 years ago. He stated that since then, Yakubu has continued to undergo several surgeries due to the severe injuries he suffered
Ogebe explained that Yakubu has now been referred abroad for further medical treatment, but he cannot afford the cost. He said he has also been advised to take regular steroid injections, which cost about 2 million naira every month
In Ogebe’s words: “It is unfortunately a complicated situation. He survived a beheading 13 years ago and has had to continue undergoing surgeries. Now he has been referred abroad for treatment and of course he cannot afford it. He has also been referred for steroid shots which cost 2 million naira every month which he cannot afford “…..See More
