In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has shared his views on party identity and political alignment, while referencing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Ememobong spoke on the importance of maintaining clear distinctions between political platforms, noting that parties are defined by their values, symbols, and ideological direction.
He explained that his statement was intended to illustrate the differences between political parties and the need for consistency in affiliation.
According to him, “The umbrella and the broom are not coherent together. You don’t find them in the same part of the house. I don’t see anyone who keeps a broom in the same place as an umbrella. You can fold your umbrella and put it in your bag. You can carry it with you. I don’t see people carrying brooms around. So, the umbrella and the broom cannot coexist in the same space.”
The PDP spokesman further noted that maintaining a distinct identity is essential for building trust among party members and supporters.
He added that clarity in political positioning helps strengthen internal unity and supports effective engagement in governance…..See More
