According to Punch, Aloy Ejimakor, Nnamdi Kanu’s lead counsel, provided an update on a recent meeting with Kanu at the Department of State Services (DSS). “We met with Kanu yesterday with three delegates from the Joint Body of Southeast Archbishops and Traditional Rulers,” he said. The delegation included Bishop Chibuzor Opoko, Archbishop David Onuoha, and Dr. Uju Agomoh. Ejimakor described the meeting as productive, noting that they are working with South East governors on Kanu’s release.
He explained that the delegation would report Kanu’s responses to the South East governors. “The body, led by His Royal Majesty, Dr. Nnaemeka Achebe (of Onitsha), will communicate Kanu’s position to the governors, who will then approach President Tinubu,” he added.
Ejimakor emphasized the importance of his advocacy, stating, “My campaign against Kanu’s continued detention is based on judicial rulings and legal principles that challenge his extradition and treatment.” He remains committed to seeking justice for Kanu and addressing the legal issues surrounding his case….Seē _ Morē
