President Bola Tinubu says he will not dwell on the past challenges of his earlier push for independent power generation in Nigeria. “I won’t go back to the history of my first attempt to bring an independent power generation system to Nigeria,” Tinubu said on Friday during the commissioning of a 60-megawatt Independent Power Project (IPP) in Elebele, Bayelsa State.
President Bola Tinubu acknowledged past struggles with power reforms but assured Nigerians of his administration’s commitment to delivering stable electricity.
According to him, “He said there can be no industrialisation, skill development, or empowerment without power, and that’s a vision. ‘I won’t go back to the history of my first attempt to bring an independent power generation system to Nigeria; I’ve struggled with it, yes,’ he stated.
