Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to Nyesom Wike, has stated that Nafiu Bala Gombe sought an ex parte order to bar David Mark and others from parading themselves as national officers of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), while also seeking recognition as the party’s National Chairman.

The statement was contained in a viral post shared by Lere Olayinka on his official X account on April 10, 2025.

In the post that Surfaced online, Lere Olayinka stated that in the suit filed by Nafiu Bala Gombe, the request was for an ex parte order to restrain David Mark and others from presenting themselves as ADC national officers, alongside a request to be recognised as the party’s National Chairman.

However, instead of granting the ex parte order, the court directed that all parties in the matter be put on notice to appear and show cause why the reliefs sought by Nafiu Bala should not be granted.

Olayinka further claimed that rather than return to court to contest the application with legal arguments, Senator David Mark and others proceeded to the Court of Appeal.

According to Lere Olayinka on his official X account:
