According to a report by The Times Of Israel on April 10, 2026, US President Donald Trump has indicated that American naval forces are being prepared for potential military action against Iran if ongoing diplomatic efforts in Pakistan fail to yield an agreement.
In an interview with the New York Post, Trump suggested that the United States is strengthening its military readiness while negotiations continue. He described the move as part of a broader strategy aimed at ensuring the country is fully equipped should talks break down.
“We have a reset going. We’re loading up the ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever made — even better than what we did previously and we blew them apart,” the Post quotes Trump as saying.
His remarks signal a dual-track approach, combining diplomacy with a visible show of military preparedness. While discussions are expected to take place in Pakistan, the US appears to be maintaining pressure by underscoring its capability to respond forcefully if necessary.
Trump emphasized that failure to secure a deal would likely lead to decisive action. “And if we don’t have a deal, we will be using them, and we will be using them very effectively,” he added, pointing to the readiness of US warships.
Earlier, Trump had posted a short and somewhat ambiguous message on his Truth Social platform, referring to what he called the “WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL RESET!!!”
