The Only Person Putting Fire On This Government Bum Bum From Day One Till Today Is Peter Obi -Yinusa

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Tanko Yinusa, has expressed confidence that a growing coalition within the party could unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during a recent interview on SYMFONI TV, Tanko argued that unlike the 2023 elections, the ADC is building a broader alliance of political actors, which he said strengthens its chances. He noted that the previous effort by the Labour Party lacked the kind of coalition now being assembled within the ADC.

Tanko emphasised that opposition politics should focus on holding the government accountable, accusing the current administration of failing to respond to public concerns and relying on misinformation. He maintained that Nigerians are not opposed to leadership but expect transparency and effective governance.

Highlighting the role of key opposition figures, Tanko said, “The only person putting fire on this government bum bum from day one till today is Mr Peter Obi,” referring to Peter Obi’s consistent criticism of government policies and borrowing practices.

According to him, Obi’s persistent engagement on national issues, particularly rising debt and economic challenges, has positioned him as a leading voice in the opposition. He added that Obi’s track record and message continue to resonate with Nigerians across regions.

Tanko further claimed that worsening insecurity and economic hardship, especially in northern Nigeria, are shifting public sentiment ahead of 2027. He described the current state of the nation as “sinking” and called for unity among opposition groups to “save the country.”
