According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against assuming that his bid for a second term in office is guaranteed, stressing that the path ahead remains uncertain.
He indicated that despite holding office, the president should not become complacent, as there are still significant obstacles that could affect his political future.
In a statement issued through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric explained that the president’s chances of securing another term are not stable.
According to him, the situation surrounding Tinubu’s re-election prospects is unsettled, with underlying issues that could threaten his ambition if not properly addressed.
Primate Ayodele further claimed that individuals within the president’s circle have contributed to limiting his awareness of the realities around him.
He suggested that certain associates have, in a spiritual sense, obstructed Tinubu’s ability to clearly recognize the challenges confronting his administration and political aspirations.
He also drew attention to the state of insecurity and the economy, describing both as areas that require urgent and serious divine intervention.
The cleric warned that if the president continues to rely on misleading advice from those he described as deceivers, the consequences may only become apparent after the election, when corrective measures might no longer be effective.
Addressing regional dynamics, the cleric pointed out that the Southeast and the Northern parts of the country could pose considerable challenges to the president’s political plans.
He expressed doubt about whether there are workable solutions to address these potential difficulties, implying that they may significantly influence the outcome of future elections.
Primate Ayodele also called on Nigerians to turn to spiritual efforts in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
He urged citizens across the country to seek divine guidance, emphasizing the importance of prayer and spiritual reflection in ensuring that the electoral process is successful and peaceful.
”Nigeria needs divine intervention for us to have a successful election. Nigeria needs someone like Tinubu, but they are tired of him because of the bad elements around him. He means well for Nigeria, but they have covered his sight; he can’t see far,” he added……See More
