Katsina: We Can’t Sleep Anymore We Get Scared And Run Wherever We Hear Any Sound At Night -Abubakar

Bilyaminu Abubakar, a resident of Jikamshi community in Katsina state, has described the terrifying reality of life after a deadly bandit attack that struck his neighborhood three weeks ago.

Speaking to Trust TV, Abubakar detailed how heavily armed bandits on motorcycles stormed the area in what he called an ambush.

The attack happened around 5:40 p.m. The gunmen arrived with heavy armor and began firing their weapons without warning.

The assault left three people dead on the spot. About ten others sustained gunshot wounds. The bandits also raided about ten shops in the community.

They made off with phones and goods worth roughly ten million naira in cash.

Abubakar is now pleading for the government to step in. He stated that Jikamshi is in serious trouble. The psychological weight of the attack has destroyed any sense of safety.

He explained that residents can no longer sleep. Every sound, whether heard at night or during the day, causes people to flee in fear.

His words: “It’s more of an ambush. I think it occurred around 5:40pm, precisely three weeks ago. Those people came on their motorcycles with heavy armor. They came with guns and started firing. They killed three people instantly, shot about ten, and raided about ten shops, stealing about ten million naira in cash, handsets, and assorted materials. We are calling for government intervention. Jikamshi is in trouble. We don’t sleep anymore. Any sound, whether at night or during the day, sends us running. We are always afraid.”…..See More
