I Used Juju To Succeed -Saheed Osupa

According to a report by The Punch on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, popular Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry after openly declaring his reliance on voodoo (juju) for his career success and personal well-being.

The controversy began during a stage performance on March 30, 2026, at the 52nd-anniversary celebration for veteran actor Lalude.

In a video that surfaced on Wednesday, Osupa was seen advising his backup singers to use traditional spiritual aids to improve their memory and stage performance. He argued that such practices are not “evil” but are simply tools for progress and comfort.

“Somebody told me to grant an interview denying that I am a fetish person, but I told him I am. Why should I deny it? I didn’t kill anyone; I am only looking for how to progress,” Osupa stated boldly.

The singer further claimed that many people who publicly profess faith in the Bible or Quran secretly use traditional powers behind the scenes.

He noted that he prefers to be open about his homage to Ifa, questioning if “Phensic or Panadol” could ever provide the level of success he enjoys.

However, his confession has been met with stiff resistance from the religious community. Several Islamic clerics on TikTok have slammed the singer, reminding him that his fame was a gift from God, not deities.

One cleric, Alagusiy, urged Osupa to return to his roots as a role model for many Muslim youths, while others argued that his lifestyle as a musician already distanced him from strict religious paths.

Despite the backlash, Osupa remains unapologetic, insisting that while he respects Prophet Muhammad and Jesus, he has no room for the “eye service” and hypocrisy prevalent in modern religion…..See More
