Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Prof Chidi Odinkalu has reacted to the statement that was made by Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication about the drone system in Nigeria.
The statement of Chidi Odinkalu was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on April 5, 2026.
In the video that surfaced online, the presidential aide stated that Nigeria can not acquire the kind of drone system that the government of the United State of America uses to eliminate bandits.
Here is what Daniel Bwala said;
“We don’t have the capacity for the technology. We have drones but there are different types. They are drones that only collect image and photos while there are some that collect and also strike. We don’t have that drone system that will identify and eliminate”.
However, Chidi Odinkalu has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said Nigeria can’t acquire the technology but the nation can share rice.
