We Are Not Surprised To Note That, ADC Did Not Know That God Is Angry With Kwankwaso-Olaposi

According to a report by Vanguard on Friday, April 3, 2026, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has attributed the ongoing leadership dispute within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the actions of its former presidential flag bearer, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The party made its position known while also extending sympathy to the ADC over the internal difficulties it is currently facing.

In a statement released on Thursday in Lagos, the NNPP, through its National Secretary, Ogini Olaposi, said the situation unfolding within the ADC did not come as a surprise.

The party suggested that the crisis was a direct outcome of earlier developments linked to Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, indicating that the current turmoil had deeper roots connected to past political maneuvers.

The NNPP’s response followed a recent development involving the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which announced that it had withdrawn its recognition of the ADC’s leadership structure.

Those affected by this decision include David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, who had been serving as the party’s National Chairman and National Secretary, respectively.

According to INEC, the decision to withdraw recognition was based on a directive from the Court of Appeal.

The court had ordered that the existing conditions within the party be preserved, effectively maintaining the status quo pending further resolution of the issues at hand.

This directive prompted the electoral body to take action regarding the party’s leadership recognition.

The NNPP, in its reaction, maintained that the developments were consistent with what it had anticipated, pointing again to what it described as prior attempts involving Kwankwaso and Galadima.

The party linked the unfolding situation in the ADC to those earlier actions, suggesting a continuity between past efforts and the present crisis.

While expressing sympathy for the ADC, the NNPP emphasized that the leadership challenges currently being experienced were not unexpected.

It maintained that the internal conflict was a reflection of unresolved issues and decisions that had been made previously, which have now manifested in the present circumstances.

Reacting, NNPP stated: “We are not surprised to note that the leadership of ADC did not know that God is angry with Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima over their attempt to hijack NNPP from the backdoor.”…..See More
