Jos: I Saw My Son’s Body Lying On Ground & I Didn’t Cry; I Didn’t Believe He Was Dead, I Held Him-Mother

A resident of Anguwan Rukuba community in Jos has spoken about the death of her son, Promise, who was among the victims killed during an attack by suspected bandits in the area

In a video shared by Pulse Nigeria, Promise’s mother said she was in her shop when Promise told her he wanted to go out to buy airtime. She stated that shortly after he left, she suddenly heard gunshots, which caused panic in the area. She said she immediately closed her shop and ran inside her house for safety.

Promise’s mother explained that after some time, a woman came to her house and took her to the roadside where she saw Promise’s lifeless body lying on the ground. She stated that she did not cry at that moment because she could not believe that Promise was dead. She said she immediately held him in her arms

In her words: “We went to the roadside, I saw my son lying on the ground. I didn’t cry because I did not believe Promise was dead, I took Promise and held him in my arms. I looked at him, I didn’t cry. I looked at my child, his body was warm”…..See More
