It’s Very Embarrassing, He Says One Thing In Morning, In The Afternoon He Says Different Thing-Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has strongly criticised Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed amid the ongoing tensions within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike made the remarks on Wednesday while inspecting several ongoing infrastructure projects across Abuja. During the visit, he dismissed allegations that he had been planted to destabilise the opposition party, describing such claims as unfounded and politically motivated.

Reacting to statements earlier attributed to Mohammed, the former Rivers State governor accused the Bauchi governor of inconsistency in his political positions. According to Wike, Mohammed frequently changes his stance on issues, which he said makes his statements difficult to take seriously.

“It’s very embarrassing. He tells you one thing today; he says one thing in the morning, and in the afternoon he says a different thing. Bala, we are very happy that you told Nigerians who you are, that you’re never stable,” Wike said while addressing journalists.

The FCT minister also alleged that Mohammed had previously engaged with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He claimed that the Bauchi governor visited Port Harcourt in 2022 where he allegedly sought political support for the presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu before later altering his political alignment.

Wike’s comments come amid a broader internal dispute within the PDP, where disagreements among party leaders have continued to generate controversy over leadership, alliances, and the party’s direction ahead of future elections.

Despite the ongoing tensions, Wike has repeatedly maintained that he remains a member of the PDP, even while expressing support for the administration of President Tinubu. His latest remarks highlight the deepening divisions within the party as political actors position themselves ahead of the next electoral cycle…..See More
