As reported by The Times of Israel on March 29, 2026, Tehran and surrounding regions were shaken by a renewed series of explosions on Sunday morning, intensifying concerns over security in the Iranian capital. Witnesses described loud blasts emanating from multiple locations, including the Masoudieh military base, Daghayeghi township, Heravi, Tehransar, and Eshtahard in Alborz province, with messages confirming the events sent to Iran International. Residents in eastern Tehran reported that the Masoudieh base, which had been targeted just a day earlier, once again became the focal point of intense detonations.
In western Tehran, Tehransar, situated near Mehrabad Airport and facilities associated with the Revolutionary Guards’ aerospace and police units, experienced at least two significant explosions. Meanwhile, in northeastern Tehran, three powerful blasts were reported in the Heravi district, amplifying fears of coordinated attacks across multiple urban centers. In Daghayeghi township, approximately ten explosions occurred within minutes, striking a residential area known to house Revolutionary Guards members and commanders.
These incidents mark a troubling escalation in the region, underscoring the vulnerability of both military installations and residential neighborhoods to sudden, repeated attacks. The scale and simultaneity of the explosions have left residents anxious, with authorities yet to release comprehensive details regarding casualties or the cause of the blasts.
