The command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, emphasized the importance of taking action and being proactive in seeking help. He noted that many women suffer in silence, failing to report their abusive husbands to the authorities.
Edafe stressed that victims should not rely solely on social media or friends and family, but rather report the abuse to the authorities. He encouraged women to “take the bull by the horn” and leave abusive marriages, emphasizing that marriage is not compulsory. By speaking out and seeking help, women can break the cycle of violence and ensure their safety and well-being.
