Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has praised the resilience and industriousness of the Igbo people amid ongoing protests elsewhere in the country. Speaking at the launch of the “Farm To Feed Campaign” in Amansea, Awka North, Soludo encouraged residents to combat hunger through agriculture rather than protests.
Soludo emphasized that the campaign is a crucial step towards alleviating hunger and fostering development in both the state and the country. He commended Anambra citizens for not participating in the protests, attributing this not to a lack of hardship but to their commitment to finding solutions through hard work.
He noted that while other regions are protesting, Anambra is focusing on positive actions, highlighting the efforts of the youth and public servants in addressing hunger. Soludo revealed that his administration has distributed over one million palm and coconut seedlings, with a goal of ten million before the end of his term. He urged everyone to utilize vacant land for farming and assured that Anambra would continue proactive measures instead of protesting.
During an interview with The Nation, he remarked, “Ndị Igbo aren’t protesting because they believe in hard work. We’ve seen far worse conditions before, but we are resilient people, and by a dint of hard work, we shall prevail.”….Seê_Morê
