According to Punch, The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for his recent attacks on President Bola Tinubu. Mohammed had accused Tinubu of inviting poverty, hunger, and protest to the country, and described his Sunday broadcast as empty.
The APC’s National Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, defended Tinubu, stating that governors like Mohammed should be held responsible for the hardship in the country. Ibrahim argued that governors have received more allocation under Tinubu’s administration but have not utilized the funds judiciously, leading to corruption and unfulfilled dividends of democracy.
Ibrahim emphasized that the Federal Government has given more money to state governments under Tinubu’s administration than before, and questioned what the governors are doing with the funds. He urged governors to focus on their mandate and show proof of judicious use of resources, rather than blaming the President.
