In an interview with Arise News, lawyer and public policy analyst, Daniel Bwala, shared a conversation he had with a friend who supports Peter Obi (an Obidient). Bwala pointed out that Alex Otti, a Labour Party Governor, has failed to pay the N30,000 minimum wage, despite the Labour Union’s pleas.
Bwala emphasized that the minimum wage issue transcends politics and is a matter of governance. He highlighted the hypocrisy of politicians who promise to fight for workers’ rights but fail to deliver on their promises. Bwala’s comments underscore the need for genuine action and not just political rhetoric to address the minimum wage issue and improve the lives of workers.
In his words;
“I was telling a friend of mine who is an Obidient. He said we like the strike that is going, I said let me tell you my brother, Alex Otti is the only Governor on the platform of the Labour Party, Alex Otti has not been able to pay N30,000 naira minimum wage. The Labour Union went and met him two weeks and were begging him to please pay the N30,000 naira. So it’s more than Politics, It’s about governance”………..See More
